Bristow Academy - Locations
New Iberia, Louisana

Bristow Academy’s New Iberia campus operates out of Vortex Heliport, adjacent to Acadiana Regional Airport (ARA). The Academy is at the heart of Bristow’s biggest commercial base and Bristow U.S. location. New Iberia is centrally located in the Gulf of Mexico’s oil and gas region. PHi, in Lafayette, is approximately 30 minutes from ARA, and ERA Helicopters, in Lake Charles, is approximately one hour by car. The cities of New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Shreveport, and Monroe are also within an easy drive of the campus.

The New Iberia campus is an FAA Part 141 approved satellite base and is also able to enroll students who have funds available through the Veterans Administration’s GI Bill. The school can also enroll international students on the Department of Homeland Security’s M-1 student visa program.

Operating a modern fleet of Sikorsky 300CBi and Robinson R-22 aircraft, the campus provides training in all of the Academy’s courses and students will have the option of taking specialized courses, such as external load and mountain flying. On a case by case basis the campus can provide transition training to the Robinson R-44.

In addition the campus is an authorized testing center for the FAA knowledge test with the ability to administer 3 tests simultaneously.
