Employment
Bristow Academy’s policy and practice is to employ the best qualified person for each job; to provide equal opportunity for the advancement of employees including upgrading, promotion and training, and to administer these activities in a manner which will not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, color, creed, gender, age, national origin, military/veteran status, or disability.
Applicants must meet minimum job requirements as defined in the job description to be considered as a Qualified Applicant. When the Academy recruits externally, vacancy notices will be posted in media such as newspapers, trade magazines, and other Internet recruiting websites. Bristow Academy chooses to recruit for entry-level FAA and JAA Flight Instructor positions from within the Academy’s student graduate pool. For a student to be considered as a Qualified Applicant for a FAA or JAA Flight Instructor position, the student must have, at a minimum, completed the CFI and CFII at Bristow Academy, which includes the full CFI Ground School. All entry-level FAA and JAA Flight Instructor vacancies will be posted internally on bulletin boards accessible and regularly viewed by Bristow Academy students for five business days to allow Qualified Students to apply for the vacancies. Applicants who are offered employment must submit to a pre-employment drug screen and a background screen conducted by an outside source.
